Abstract
This thesis examines the physiological effects of post-traumatic stress and develops a biblically faithful framework for use within biblical counseling. This study contrasts modern psychological views of humanity with a biblical anthropology of psychosomatic unity to clarify the interplay between body and soul. The framework developed in this thesis equips biblical counselors to address physiological manifestations of post-traumatic stress with discernment, particularly in the evaluation and use of temporal interventions. The goal is to enable biblical counselors to care for the whole person with compassion while remaining committed to the sufficiency of Scripture.
