| dc.description.abstract | This project evaluated the effectiveness of andragogical teaching in adult Bible fellowships at The Chapel in Akron, Ohio. The project found that andragogical teaching was more effective than pedagogical teaching in students learning factual content on Ephesians. Both andragogical teaching and pedagogical teaching had no effect, or even a negative effect, on the students' intentionality in applying the main ideas of the Ephesians passages to their lives during the project. Students that learned under andragogical teaching felt more confident that it was an effective methodology than students who learned under pedagogical teaching. Finally, students who learned under andragogical teaching felt that the discussions, in which they were involved as part of the learning process, were the most memorable part of the lesson, while students who learned under pedagogical teaching had much more variety in which part of the lessons was most memorable to them. | en_US |
