A copy of the diary was found in an old notebook kept by William O. Whilden. Dr. H.A. Tupper made use of the diary when he edited "two centuries of the First Baptist Church of South Carolina" in 1889, but the original is lost. This mimeographed edition was made by Loulie Latimer Owens.
