Abstract
This project seeks to equip servant ministers of Cornerstone Church in West Los Angeles to address three specific spiritual problems, namely depression, sexual issues, and eating disorders. Chapter 1 describes the basis and plan for this project. Chapter 2 provides exegesis of five passages foundational to this kind of ministry. Chapter 3 evaluates the contributions of biblical pastoral theology, Christian integrative psychology, and secular psychiatry to understanding and addressing these issues. Chapter 4 describes the project itself, recounting the content of the specific classes taught. Chapter 5 evaluates the efficacy of the project based on the specified goals. Ultimately, this project seeks to demonstrate the sufficiency of the person and work of Christ to address spiritual and emotional issues. In addition, this project equips servant ministers that they may lovingly mutually minister to others with the truth of the gospel both as they suffer and as they sin.
