Sampey, persuaded the ordination council and/or the church to approve the ordination of a candidate at Fourth Avenue Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky. who believed in alien immersion. Reprinted from the state denominational papers; the article appeared in The Baptist World's issue of August 20, 1908.
