|dc.description.abstract||Christians have a biblical mandate to infuse their faith into every aspect of their lives. However, a spiritual gap exists for many Christians between their life of faith and their life at work. This gap can be addressed by evaluating the doctrine of vocation towards a deeper understanding, followed by a thorough examination of five leadership principles which provide Christians within the workplace both a shared language, as well as mutual positively viewed leadership experiences.
This work begins with an exegesis of six biblical passages to provide a necessary basis for adducing appropriately grounded Scriptural conclusions regarding the importance of a Christian worldview within the workplace. This discussion leads to an examination of the theological doctrines of calling, vocation, and the theology of work.
To address the spiritual gap many Christians experience between faith and work, this thesis presents five leadership principles as a practical solution and evaluates these principles for Christians, churches and seminaries, and businesses.||en_US
