Abstract
The purpose of this project was to train members to lead discipleship groups at Pioneer Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Chapter 1 provides the context for why this project was needed, and outlined four goals that guided the project’s success. Chapter 2 focuses on the biblical and theological foundations for discipleship in small groups that practice spiritual disciplines together. Chapter 3 argues for a particular format of small groups that are designed to take advantage of principles and best practices articulated in discipleship literature. Chapter 4 describes the process of implementing the project from start to finish. Chapter 5 evaluates the project’s purpose, goals, strength’s, weaknesses, and offers personal reflections.
