Abstract
The purpose of this project is to equip the members of Calvary Chapel Evangelical Free Church in Valley View, Pennsylvania, with a biblical theology of the biblical covenants. This purpose was accomplished through an eight-week sermon series covering the covenants, which was paired with a family companion study. The series covers studies on God’s covenant with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, and the church. Biblical theology was utilized to show how the Bible is structured around the covenants. Chapter 1 defines the goals of the project, ministry context, rationale, definitions, limitations, delimitations, and research methodology. Chapter 2 explains the biblical and theological support for equipping Calvary Chapel Evangelical Free Church with a biblical theology of the covenants. Chapter 3 surveys the theoretical and practical issues related to equipping the church with a biblical theology of the covenants. Chapter 4details the project’s implementation process. Chapter 5 evaluates the project’s effectiveness.
