This ministry project involves the development of servant leaders at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, Missouri. Chapter 1 offers the background for Progressive Missionary Baptist Church through presenting the need for developing servant leaders. Chapter 2 outline the biblical and historical foundation for the project through utilizing three primary sources that identify Jesus Christ as the ultimate model of a servant leader. Chapter 3 presents the theoretical/practical/ historical issues related to servant leadership by examining current approaches, essential to the nucleus of leadership. Chapter 4 details and describes the process for implementation for the six-week training sessions. In addition, the foundation of the project centers on developing servant leaders through utilizing the ultimate biblical model. The final chapter provides analysis of data, along with examining the goals of the project. Furthermore, the strengths and weaknesses are discussed along with suggestions for future inquiry. | en_US |
