dc.description.abstractThe project aimed to train chaplains to utilize the sufficiency of Scripture to counsel soldiers who have experienced the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Chapter 1 presents the purpose, goals, context, rationale, definitions, and limitations of the project. Chapter 2 discusses the theological issues related to counseling victims of PTSD. The most common counseling issues addressed include suffering, anger, fear, and worry. Chapter 3 presents the theoretical and sociological support for the project. The chapter primarily discusses the psychology based treatment options that are available for PTSD. Chapter 4 discusses the two training seminars that were conducted to train chaplains to provide biblical counseling for PTSD. The results of the research instruments are also presented. Chapter 5 provides an assessment of the overall results of the project.en_US
