Description
Holograph, signed. On leaf [3]: This letter does not belong to our Tates' Creek Association as you will see from body of this letter (Rice Sisters). Constituted in 1786 by Andrew Tribble. United with the South Kentucky Association of Separate Baptists in 1787, but withdrew with four other churches in 1793 to form the Tate's Creek Association of United Baptists. In 1849, building was destroyed by fire, and "the membership built Republican [Baptist Church], now a Missionary Baptist Church." Scanned in cooperation with the Kentucky Baptist Convention.
