This project endeavored to implement a discipleship plan at Providence Baptist Church in Hayes, Virginia by adopting the elements of continuous spiritual renewal as formulated by evangelical historian Richard Lovelace. Chapter one describes the context, purpose, rationale, goals, and methodology of the project. Chapter two demonstrates how union with Christ is the fountainhead of all spiritual formation through the exegesis of five New Testament passages: John 15:1–11; Romans 5:1–11; Romans 6:1–14; John 15:14–27; Ephesians 6:10–18. Chapter three provides a brief overview of church history revealing how an orientation toward mission, dependent prayer, community, and theological integration characterize a life of discipleship. Chapter four details the process whereby the project was implemented including its creation, promotion, and statistical analysis. Chapter five evaluates the project's purpose and goals, assesses its strengths and weaknesses, offers suggestions for improvement, and concludes with personal theological and practical reflections.en_US
