Abstract
This project examines training small group leaders using both biblical concept of community and leadership coaching model. Chapter 1 provides the context, rationale, purpose, goals, research methodology, and limitations/delimitations for this project.
Chapter 2 presents biblical and theological foundations for small groups, including community in the Triune God, in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament.
Chapter 3 considers small group leaders as good coaches. It defines and shows the importance of coaching, providing the process of and principles for coaching from various perspectives. It gives biblical examples of coaching, such as the coaching of Moses by Jethro, of Joshua by Moses, and of Paul by Barnabas.
Chapter 4 explains the project outline and gives detailed information about how to implement it.
Chapter 5 evaluates this project and specifically assesses the three goals set in chapter 1.
