The purpose of the project was to teach the disciplines of personal Bible study and prayer at Central Congregational Church in Middleborough, Massachusetts. The desired result was to change participants’ knowledge and practices of personal Bible study and prayer (chap. 1). A ten-week curriculum called Made for More was created to accomplish this objective. The course used a covenantal structure to help participants gain a clearer understanding of the basic storyline of the Bible (chap. 2). It also offered practical instruction on discipline formation, prayer, and Bible study methodology (chap. 3). The project’s purpose, goals, strengths, and weaknesses were evaluated in light of surveys administered at the beginning and the end of the course (chap. 4). Finally, theological, and personal reflections were offered, along with thoughts about those things that should be done differently, should there ever be an opportunity to do the project again in the future (chap. 5).en_US
