dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this project was to develop and implement a training program for incoming elders at Jackson Way Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Chapter 1 explains the ministerial context of Jackson Way Baptist Church and the need for an elder training plan. Chapter 2 demonstrates the biblical and theological basis for training men for ministry. Chapter 3 considers the benefits of having elders. Chapter 4 provides training principles for elders, and an overview of the process and methodology used in this project. Chapter 5 is an evaluation of the project, determining its effectiveness. | en_US |
